The opaque-rate problem
Many companies explore Turing alternatives due to rising costs, limited pricing transparency, and mixed results from AI-based matching. The pattern is consistent: client is quoted £8,000/mo, engineer sees £2,500. The client never knows the split. The engineer can't negotiate. Both parties lose.
The OSCABE model
Every OSCABE engagement shows:
- Engineer rate (what they earn)
- OSCABE fee (25%, fixed and visible)
- Client total (what you pay)
- UK salary comparison (what you'd otherwise spend)
When you can see all four numbers, you can plan budgets honestly. And engineers know they're being treated fairly.
